About the Role

Dar Al Riyadh Consultants is seeking an experienced Planning Scheduler Engineer to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in project controls and scheduling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead project controls and document control staff to ensure efficient project control delivery.
  • Develop and prepare the Project Controls plan for assigned projects.
  • Oversee and review consultant planning and scheduling activities, including staff plans, manpower histograms, and progress measurement.
  • Ensure effective execution of Project Controls programs in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Review contract drafts for adequate cost and scope definition, and coordinate data for negotiations.
  • Apply appropriate planning and scheduling techniques as per the approved Project Controls/Execution Plan.
  • Ensure Project Controls Systems provide effective control tools for supervisory staff.
  • Lead the process of capital budget determination and scope of work definition.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of planning software and techniques, and ensure staff skills are current.
  • Inform management of potential schedule threats and propose remedial actions.
  • Prepare internal and client weekly and monthly project status reports.
  • Review Engineering Consultants’ schedules and programs.
  • Develop staffing plans to ensure resource availability for project execution.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and direct Project Controls presentations to client management.
  • Direct project control activities, developing and executing policies for cost and schedule control.
  • Appraise subordinate performance and identify training needs.
  • Establish and promote positive working relationships with the team, project staff, and the client.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of overall experience in a related field.
  • Registered engineer with the Saudi Council of Engineers.
  • Preferred: Certified Project Management Professional (PMP or Prince 2).

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency in planning and scheduling software, including Primavera and MS Project.
  • Advanced knowledge of project management software, preferably including Microsoft Project, Primavera, MS Office, and Power BI.
  • Ability to analyze project performance, prepare reports on risks and issues, and recommend solutions.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and Quality Control procedures.
