The Grandeur Co. is seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to join its team. This full-time position is based in Makkah, with responsibilities covering operations in both Makkah and Jeddah, focusing on ensuring efficient and high-quality procurement for our catering services.

The Role of Procurement Specialist

The Procurement Specialist is responsible for the strategic sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing of high-quality food items, kitchen supplies, and essential services. This role is critical for maintaining smooth operations within our catering services, requiring a strong understanding of the food supply market, effective supplier management, and strict adherence to food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers for food items and kitchen supplies to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Conduct regular market research to ensure competitive pricing and availability of key ingredients, adapting procurement strategies as needed.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms with vendors to achieve optimal value while maintaining product quality.
  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of goods to meet kitchen production schedules, minimizing disruptions in operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels in coordination with the warehouse and kitchen team to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Work closely with chefs and kitchen staff to understand product requirements and maintain high-quality standards.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers, actively develop new supplier networks, and build a comprehensive database to strengthen and expand procurement options.
  • Ensure all procured items meet food safety regulations and hygiene standards, adhering to company policies and industry best practices.
  • Manage and fulfill procurement requests from various departments, ensuring that all needs are met promptly and efficiently.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, preferably in the food and catering industry.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position primarily based in Makkah, with responsibilities covering operations in both Makkah and Jeddah.
