About the Role
Red Sea Gateway Terminal is seeking a Quality & Integrated Management Systems & Environmental Senior Specialist to join their team in Makkah, specifically in Jeddah. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on developing, implementing, and enhancing the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) across port and terminal operations.
Role Overview and Objectives
The Senior Specialist will be instrumental in managing the port and terminal's management systems, ensuring adherence to international standards such as ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001. This role is crucial for maintaining compliance with Saudi regulations, including those from the Saudi Ports Authority (MAWANI) and the National Center for Environmental Compliance (NCEC), while simultaneously driving improvements in service quality, safety, and environmental performance.
Integrated Management System (IMS) Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain an IMS covering Quality, Environment, Health & Safety for all port and terminal activities.
- Lead gap analyses and certification projects for management systems.
- Establish and maintain policies, procedures, and work instructions for various operational areas.
- Ensure IMS processes align with port authority requirements, concessions, licenses, and permits.
Quality and Environmental Management
- Oversee quality processes across terminal operations, including nonconformity management and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Define and monitor quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to operational efficiency and service reliability.
- Support root cause analysis for operational incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Manage customer complaint handling processes.
- Develop and maintain the Environmental Management System, identifying environmental aspects and impacts.
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and permits, monitoring environmental KPIs.
- Lead pollution prevention and spill response planning, promoting environmental awareness among staff and contractors.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience. A strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards is essential. Experience in port and terminal operations, along with knowledge of Saudi regulations pertinent to ports and environmental compliance, is required.
Work Location and Type
This is a full-time position based in Jeddah, Makkah region. The role involves working within a dynamic port and terminal environment.
