The Role: Salesman, Makkah

PepsiCo is seeking a full-time Salesman to join its KSA sales team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This role is designed for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are prepared to maximize sales volume, achieve distribution targets, and maintain high levels of customer service. The Salesman will operate within established procedures to ensure consistent standards across the KSA region, contributing directly to the company's market presence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sell the full range of PepsiCo products to an agreed list of customers, striving to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Minimize product stales, ensuring levels remain below the target provided by the supervisor.
  • Ensure customers receive service aligned with company standards, maintaining specified call frequencies and adhering to the daily route plan.
  • Implement agreed in-store merchandising standards, coordinating with a company merchandiser where additional support is provided.
  • Collect accounts receivable, including daily reconciliation of all cheques, cash, and credit sales.
  • Maintain individual customer stock levels to agreed requirements to minimize out-of-stock situations.

Operational and Reporting Duties

  • Conduct daily and weekly vehicle checks as outlined in operating procedures, ensuring the sales vehicle is clean and roadworthy. Report any defects or damage promptly to the supervisor.
  • Supply ready-to-ship customer orders on time, including full details and delivery arrangements.
  • Advise the supervisor of any relevant competitor activity observed within the assigned area.
  • Participate in daily debriefing sessions with the supervisor to review customer visits and performance.

Professional Standards and Development

The Salesman is expected to maintain a neat and presentable appearance at all times. Adherence to high driving standards and all traffic regulations is mandatory. This role requires continuous professional development, including attendance at training courses designed to enhance professionalism and customer service capabilities. Performance will be measured against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and consistent failure to meet required results may lead to disciplinary action. The Salesman will also provide the supervisor with the latest market information to identify and develop sales opportunities.

Work Location

This full-time position is based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, serving customers within the designated region as part of the KSA sales operations.
