About the Specialist-Accounting Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Specialist-Accounting to join their team in Makkah, Makkah Region. This full-time position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience in accounting.

Core Responsibilities

The Specialist-Accounting will be responsible for the accurate control of figures, reports, and documents, ensuring correctness in data entry, calculations, and coding. This role involves organizing, securing, and managing all accounting books, records, cash, and cash equivalents in strict adherence to company policies and procedures.

Key Duties and Tasks

  • Recording, storing, accessing, and analyzing computerized financial information.
  • Maintaining accurate computerized spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
  • Classifying, coding, and summarizing numerical and financial data to compile and maintain financial records in journals, ledgers, and/or on computer systems.
  • Preparing, maintaining, and distributing statistical, financial, accounting, auditing, or payroll reports and tables.
  • Completing procedures and preparing year-end reports as instructed.
  • Preparing, verifying, reconciling, and editing notes, invoices, and statements according to company procedures.

Professional Conduct and Communication

Adherence to all chain policies and procedures is essential. This includes maintaining a clean and complete work uniform, presenting a neat and professional appearance at all times, and respecting confidentiality in the dissemination of banner and/or hotel-specific information. Protecting all company assets, as well as the privacy and safety of guests and colleagues, is paramount. The role requires responding to guest needs in a professional, positive, and prompt manner, utilizing clear and professional language in all communications, and preparing and proofreading documents for accuracy and completeness. Answering the telephone and responding to emails with appropriate language is also a key aspect of this position.

Teamwork and Additional Duties

Developing positive and constructive working relationships with peers, uniting and assisting each other to achieve common goals, and listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees are vital. The role may also involve independently moving, lifting, carrying, pulling, and placing loads weighing up to kilograms. Employees are also expected to perform any other duties assigned by supervisors that are consistent with the position.
