Stock Controller

About the Role

Zegna is seeking a Stock Controller to join their team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, with responsibilities extending to Jeddah. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and involves comprehensive oversight of stock management processes within the retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all stock transfers, including movements into the warehouse, from the warehouse to stores, and between stores, ensuring accurate recording and updates to minimize discrepancies.
• Manage warehouse audits, stock counts, discrepancy identification, and resolution processes.
• Provide regular updates on deliveries, current stock levels, pending orders, claims for damaged or short merchandise, and the replenishment process.
• Ensure proper adjustment of defective stock items in accordance with company policies.
• Prepare the annual stock take calendar in collaboration with the Operations Manager and Store Manager, communicate the plan, and ensure compliance by mobilizing necessary resources and manpower for physical stock takes.
• Oversee the physical stock take process and monitor adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Review stock take results with the Local Retail & Wholesale Operations Specialist and Finance Manager, reconciling figures by monitoring stock movements and transfers.
• Prepare reports based on findings, provide recommendations to the Local Retail & Wholesale Operations Specialist, and implement and monitor stock loss action plans.
• Oversee the shipment process for goods, coordinating with EZ in Italy and logistics companies to ensure timely delivery to stores.
• Guide, train, appraise, and motivate staff to support their professional development and potential.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in stock control, warehouse management, or a similar operational role. A strong understanding of inventory management principles and retail operations is essential.
