Supervisor Housekeeping

About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Supervisor Housekeeping to join their team in Makkah. This full-time role involves ensuring quality standards in guest rooms and public areas, managing daily housekeeping activities, and coordinating efforts between various hotel departments. The position requires 0-1 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure adherence to quality standards after cleaning.
• Prepare room availability reports, verify room status, and prioritize cleaning schedules.
• Act as a liaison between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry Departments to coordinate efforts.
• Document and resolve room discrepancy issues with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes to assignment sheets or work boards.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures, reporting any maintenance issues, hazards, accidents, or injuries.
• Maintain the privacy of company proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Support co-workers and the team to achieve common goals and meet quality assurance expectations.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
• Read and visually verify information in various formats, including fine print.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers or point-of-sale systems.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and good hand-eye coordination.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs.
• Ascend and descend stairs and/or service ramps.
• Continuously use manual dexterity and motor skills, frequently employing both hands and fine motor functions.
• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing 55 pounds ( kg) or less without assistance and more than 55 pounds ( kg) with assistance.
• Push and pull a loaded maintenance cart and other work-related machines on sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods or very frequently during the entire work shift.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, where the Supervisor Housekeeping will operate within a dynamic hotel environment, collaborating with multiple departments to ensure operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.
