About the Supervisor Laundry Role

Edition is seeking a full-time Supervisor Laundry to oversee laundry operations and staff in Makkah. This role requires a candidate with 2-5 years of experience in a similar capacity, ready to manage daily laundry functions and ensure efficient service delivery across departments.

Key Responsibilities

The Supervisor Laundry will be responsible for a range of duties to ensure smooth and effective laundry operations. This includes:

• Performing regular inventory checks of uniforms and linens.
• Conducting monthly inventory of all laundry supplies.
• Reporting any defective equipment, maintenance requirements, or safety hazards to management.
• Training employees on all laundry procedures, including safety protocols and machine operation.
• Verifying that laundry service requests from all departments are processed accurately.
• Operating and monitoring washing machines, dry cleaning machines, and dryers.
• Inspecting the condition of all linens and towels to ensure quality standards are met.
• Assisting management with staff hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and development.

Operational Duties and Safety Compliance

Adherence to safety policies and procedures is paramount. The role involves:

• Following and applying all safety policies and procedures.
• Reporting any maintenance issues, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Participating in required safety training and maintaining necessary certifications.
• Ensuring a consistently clean and professional personal appearance.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
• Supporting colleagues and treating them with dignity and respect to achieve common goals.
• Complying with all quality assurance expectations and standards.

Physical Requirements

The role requires the ability to perform various physical tasks, including:

• Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 25 pounds (* kg) without assistance.
• Standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods or for a full shift.
• Visually inspecting tools, equipment, and machines for defects.
• Reaching for objects overhead and below the knees, involving bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Moving within confined, enclosed, or elevated spaces.
• Navigating sloped, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
• Climbing up and down service stairs and ramps.
• Listening and responding appropriately to guest concerns and other employees using clear and courteous language.
• Performing all other duties as requested by managers that are consistent with the position.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position should possess the following qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 1 year of related work experience in laundry operations.
• A minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience.
