About the Technician Role at Al-Futtaim

Al-Futtaim is seeking a Saudi National Technician for a full-time position in Makkah. This role is responsible for the setup, installation, and ongoing maintenance of electrical infrastructure, adhering strictly to safety standards and approved technical drawings. The position requires a practical approach to problem-solving within the immediate work area, reporting to a Supervisor and operating under established procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute electrical installations in accordance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Perform various electrical tasks including power and lighting works, glanding and termination, DB dressing, instrumentation, control, and electronic systems.
• Ensure the correct and efficient use of materials to minimize wastage.
• Protect completed and ongoing work from potential damage.
• Maintain high standards of discipline and adhere to safe working practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high levels of productivity.
• Comply with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) protocols and asset management systems.
• Report all QHSE and asset management incidents immediately and implement necessary precautions.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma, Graduate, or ITI Trade Holder in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Between 2 to 5 years of experience in electrical installations, maintenance, and building services.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Familiarity with building services, power, lighting, testing, and commissioning processes.

Essential Skills and Competencies

• Demonstrated proficiency in electrical installation and maintenance techniques.
• A strong understanding of electrical engineering safety standards and practices.
• The ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, particularly within team environments.
