Dar Alamirat is seeking an External Purchasing Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time, on-site role is integral to managing the company's international procurement operations within the Purchasing Department.

Role Overview

As an External Purchasing Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing international purchasing processes for care and beauty products sourced from suppliers and manufacturers outside the Kingdom. Your role will encompass the entire procurement lifecycle, from identifying and evaluating suppliers to negotiating terms, managing shipments, handling import and customs procedures, and ultimately ensuring products arrive on time, meeting specified quality and quantity standards for both our wholesale and retail sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Supplier Negotiation: Evaluate price offers, comparing quality, cost, and specifications. Negotiate prices, payment terms, and delivery conditions to achieve optimal value for the company.
• Purchasing Operations Management: Prepare and monitor external purchase requests and orders from initiation to receipt. Coordinate with suppliers to ensure compliance with agreed specifications and quality. Coordinate with relevant internal departments to determine inventory needs and supply plans. Prepare and monitor contracts and agreements with suppliers.
• Shipping, Import, and Customs Clearance: Track shipments from order placement until arrival at warehouses. Coordinate with shipping companies and customs clearance agents. Ensure all required import documents are complete (invoices, certificates of origin, and health certificates when necessary).
• Inventory Management: Monitor inventory on a first-in, first-out basis and ensure efficient inventory turnover. Analyze inventory disposal power and verify product behavior.
• Reporting and Analysis: Prepare periodic reports on order status and supplier performance. Analyze purchasing costs and propose strategies for reduction without compromising quality. Continuously monitor and evaluate supplier performance indicators. Evaluate items with the sales team and periodically assess item movement in the market.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in external purchasing or import.
• Experience managing medium to large-scale purchasing operations and budgets.
• Previous experience in external purchasing for the cosmetics and care products sector is preferred.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in English, both spoken and written (mandatory).
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage international supplier relationships.
• Practical experience with import procedures and customs clearance.
• Proficiency in using ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Cost analysis and supply chain management skills.
