The Role of Barista (Saudi National)

Accor is seeking a Barista to join its team in the Al Olaya District of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, customer-focused position involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages while delivering exceptional customer service within a fast-paced café environment. As a Saudi National, the Barista will be instrumental in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve espresso-based beverages, coffee, tea, and other hot and cold drinks according to established standards and recipes.
• Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and other café equipment to ensure optimal performance and cleanliness.
• Accurately and efficiently take customer orders using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Provide friendly and professional customer service, addressing inquiries and special requests with a positive attitude.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to health and hygiene standards at all times.
• Handle cash and card transactions accurately while following proper cash handling procedures.
• Monitor inventory levels and communicate stock needs to management.
• Customize beverages to meet individual customer preferences while maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth café operations during peak and off-peak hours.
• Develop knowledge of coffee varieties, origins, and brewing techniques to educate customers and make recommendations.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Saudi National status is required.
• Proven experience (0-1 year) as a Barista or in a similar café or customer service role is preferred.
• Proficiency in operating espresso machines and other coffee brewing equipment.
• Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, beverage recipes, and coffee varieties.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally and courteously with diverse customers.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards.
• Excellent time management and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Reliable cash handling experience and accuracy with transactions.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including mornings, afternoons, and weekends as needed.
• Multilingual abilities in Arabic and English are preferred.
• Latte art skills and beverage customization expertise are preferred.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in the Al Olaya District of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a dynamic hotel environment that is part of the Accor network.
