BDH Technical Sales Support

About the Role

Metso is seeking a Beneficiation, Dewatering and Hydro (BDH) Technical Sales Support professional to join the Middle East Technical Sales Support team. This full-time role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves supporting sales growth by developing opportunities, assisting with customer applications, and promoting upgrades and modernization solutions. The position requires close collaboration with product lines, PCS teams, service teams, and account managers to deliver value-added technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support and/or lead sales activities for BDH products within the Middle East region.
• Provide technical sales support for Classifiers, HGMS, Thickeners, Flotation, Filters, Automation, and Hydrometallurgy product offerings.
• Develop strong technical knowledge of Filters and Hydrometallurgy products and their major models to evaluate customer RFQs and application requirements effectively.
• Visit customer sites with sales and service teams to assess operations, identify improvement opportunities, collect technical information, and recommend optimized solutions.
• Support the generation and development of sales funnels, campaigns, quotations, upgrade opportunities, and modernization offerings.
• Collaborate with Product Lines and PCS teams to strengthen value proposition development and broaden customer awareness of Metso solutions.
• Utilize internal tools and resources including Enovia, Product Wiki, Tacton, and Value Calculators to support proposal development and technical solutioning.
• Support commissioning, troubleshooting, process optimization, recommended spare parts selection, and customer technical discussions as required.
• Develop value argumentation, value propositions, and win plans for upgrades, modifications, and optimization projects.
• Collect and communicate customer feedback, market intelligence, and competitor information.
• Support warranty reviews, inspection reports, recommendations, and solution definitions.
• Ensure timely progress of sales cases from lead generation through proposal, negotiation, and closure.
• Support training and technical capability development of Account Managers and sales teams.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable QEHS rules and customer requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Basic product knowledge of Hydrometallurgy and Filters to understand customer requirements and RFQs.
• Fundamental understanding of mineral processing principles including particle size, density, pressure, reagents, filtration, flotation, and thickening performance drivers.
• Awareness of upgrade and modernization opportunities in flotation, thickener, automation, and related BDH product lines.
• Demonstrated ability to support business growth through technical solution selling and customer engagement.
• Working knowledge of internal engineering and sales support tools.

Work Environment and Travel

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. It requires approximately 60% travel to customer sites across the Middle East, with additional international travel as required.
