The Role of Business Development Manager

Autobia is seeking a Business Development Manager to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role involves taking ownership of new business areas from initial market study to closing the first deals. The manager will be responsible for identifying opportunities, developing entry plans, and proving the viability of new ventures. The position requires 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate new business areas and sectors, including market study, competitor analysis, customer behavior, and profitability models.
  • Estimate opportunity size and build business cases based on clear, testable data and assumptions.
  • Develop comprehensive market entry plans, defining target segments, offerings, pricing, access channels, success metrics, and timelines.
  • Directly close initial deals in the early stages, building pipelines, negotiating, and securing early customers to validate the business model.
  • Translate market insights into clear requirements for product, engineering, operations, and procurement teams.
  • Lead cross-departmental coordination and continuous follow-up to resolve roadblocks, ensuring the launch of viable and scalable products rather than mere experiments.
  • Recommend expansion, modification, or discontinuation for each initiative based on clear and rapid results.
  • Hand over mature initiatives to relevant operational teams, complete with process documentation, work guides, and monitoring indicators.
