Chief Accountant (Saudi Only)

About the Role

Hyatt Place Riyadh Al Sulaimania is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Chief Accountant to join its Finance team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting month-end closing processes. The Chief Accountant will also be responsible for maintaining strong financial controls in line with hotel standards and policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting activities and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and records.
• Manage and support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare and review financial reports, reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.
• Review balance sheet accounts and ensure timely reconciliation and clearance of outstanding items.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit, and general ledger activities.
• Ensure compliance with hotel financial policies, internal controls, and accounting procedures.
• Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analysis.
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring all required documentation is accurate and available.
• Identify discrepancies and follow up with concerned departments to ensure timely resolution.
• Support the Director of Finance in maintaining effective financial controls across the hotel.
• Guide and support Finance team members in their daily responsibilities.
• Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information.

Qualifications and Experience

• A strong accounting background is required.
• 2-5 years of experience in a relevant accounting role.
• Experience within the hospitality industry is essential.
• Excellent analytical skills.
