About the Role

House of Consulting Office for Consulting Engineers Co. (HCO), a leading multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm in Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced Commissioning Manager for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role is crucial for supporting the successful delivery of a major construction project, requiring comprehensive management of all commissioning activities throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

The Commissioning Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the project's commissioning strategy, plans, and procedures. This includes overseeing and coordinating all testing and commissioning activities to ensure systems meet project requirements and are handed over effectively. The role involves close collaboration with various stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure project milestones are met.

  • Develop, implement, and oversee the project commissioning strategy, plans, and procedures.
  • Manage and coordinate all commissioning activities to ensure systems are tested, commissioned, and handed over in accordance with project requirements.
  • Review commissioning documentation, method statements, test procedures, and commissioning schedules.
  • Coordinate with contractors, consultants, vendors, and client representatives to resolve commissioning-related issues.
  • Monitor commissioning progress and ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and industry standards.
  • Prepare commissioning reports, witness testing activities, and support the successful project handover.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline. A minimum of 10 years of experience in building construction projects, with a preference for experience within the GCC, is required. Specifically, a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Commissioning Manager role is essential, demonstrating proven experience managing commissioning activities for large-scale construction projects.

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.

Technical and Soft Skills

The role requires strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), and building systems commissioning, along with a thorough understanding of commissioning processes, testing procedures, and system integration. Excellent coordination, leadership, and stakeholder management skills are vital for effective collaboration and issue resolution. Previous experience with PMC organizations is preferred.
