About the Compliance & Government Relations Manager Role
Amazon is seeking a Compliance & Government Relations Manager for its Quick Commerce operations in Riyadh. This full-time position is responsible for ensuring organizational adherence to regulatory requirements while managing government relations and operational compliance across all assigned sites. The role serves as a critical link between compliance enforcement and proactive engagement with government and regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
The Compliance & Government Relations Manager will oversee several key areas:
- Compliance Oversight: Own and maintain the site compliance framework, including licensing, permits, and regulatory documentation. Conduct regular compliance audits and gap assessments, ensure timely renewal and tracking of all regulatory permits and licenses, and develop compliance registers, trackers, and reporting dashboards.
- Government Relations: Build and maintain relationships with relevant government bodies, regulatory authorities, and enforcement agencies. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes that may impact operations and advise leadership proactively. Support Branch Managers in managing regulatory interfaces at the site level and develop government engagement strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with Legal, Operations, and Engineering teams to ensure integrated compliance and Government Relations coverage. Provide compliance and Government Relations input into new site launches, expansions, and operational changes. Maintain documentation standards for all regulatory correspondence and government interactions, and report compliance and Government Relations status to senior leadership on a regular cadence.
Required Qualifications
Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
- 3+ years of program or project management experience.
- 3+ years of working cross-functionally with both tech and non-tech teams.
- 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
- A Bachelor's degree.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs, and SQL.
Preferred Qualifications
Additional experience that would be beneficial includes:
- 3+ years of driving end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership.
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization.
- Experience in building processes, project management, and schedules.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh.
