About the Role

Deutsche Bank AG is seeking a Corporate Bank - Corporate & Global Subsidiaries Coverage Originator - VP to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role is within the Corporate Bank (CB) division, a global provider of cash management, trade finance, and securities services. The Corporate Bank delivers a range of corporate banking products and services to corporate entities and financial institutions worldwide.

Role Overview

The Corporate Bank Corporate & Multinational Coverage VP is responsible for managing and expanding a portfolio of high-value corporate clients in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This portfolio primarily includes multinational clients (MNCs), large local corporates, and government-related entities (GREs), aligned with the bank’s strategic objectives. The VP acts as the primary relationship manager, providing the bank’s suite of Corporate Banking products, including Cash Management, Trade Finance, Lending, FX, and Securities Services. This role involves close collaboration with Investment Banking and Treasury/Markets divisions.

The VP will serve as the initial point of contact for subsidiaries of focus clients, engaging with local Finance Directors/CFOs and treasury teams to establish a trusted relationship. Key responsibilities include actively managing and growing the assigned client portfolio across the Corporate Bank product suite, identifying new business opportunities, structuring bespoke financial solutions, and driving their execution. For complex or cross-border transactions, the VP will collaborate with product specialists across Cash, Trade, and FX. Success in this position requires alignment with Global and Regional Relationship Managers and adherence to the Bank’s KYC, AML, and compliance policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Portfolio Management: Manage and deepen senior-level relationships with key decision-makers (CFOs, Treasurers, Finance Directors) within the assigned KSA corporate portfolio. Support and grow the Saudi local coverage profile through active networking.
• Revenue Generation: Drive profitable revenue growth, meeting financial targets for Net Interest Income (NII) and Fee Income through cross-selling and strategic origination.
• Client Origination: Identify and onboard new target clients within the Kingdom, in line with the bank's risk appetite and strategic focus.
• Cross-Collaboration: Ensure, in close cooperation with Global Relationship Management (GRM), that Deutsche Bank is the preferred provider for clients and that all avenues for working with clients across different geographies and products are explored.
• Execution: Act as a full member of Client Service Teams with product teams to ensure smooth execution throughout the lifecycle of a transaction.
• Compliance: Establish and maintain ‘Know Your Client’ profiles and other required client information in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures.
• Strategic Contribution: Assist team leaders in forming viable business strategies, implementation plans, and prompt work process adjustments to adapt to changes in market and regulatory environments.
