About the Role

Mandarin Oriental is seeking a Corporate Sales Manager to join its team at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on managing corporate accounts and driving sales within the luxury hospitality sector.

Role Overview

The Corporate Sales Manager is responsible for the comprehensive management of their assigned sales portfolio, encompassing all revenue streams and client levels. The primary objective is to foster long-term, value-based customer relationships to achieve property sales targets and maximize productivity. This role involves setting and achieving personal booking goals, developing and executing sales strategies, and ensuring client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire, develop, and manage local corporate and government accounts in alignment with the business mix strategy.
  • Ensure maximum acceptance in Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Acquire, develop, and manage business travel agent (BTA) accounts according to the set business mix strategy.
  • Monitor market and competitor activities, reporting on threats and opportunities.
  • Provide accurate reporting on segment and account production, proposing strategies to improve revenue.
  • Implement and execute sales objectives and action plans to meet or exceed targets.
  • Quote and negotiate prices for transient, long stay, and group business within established parameters.
  • Establish and maintain files for major accounts and ensure their maintenance in the management system.
  • Understand the overall market, including competitors' strengths and weaknesses, and economic trends.
  • Ensure selling strategies are adhered to during negotiations and maximize upselling opportunities.
  • Understand the property's target customer and service expectations, offering suitable business solutions.
  • Cross-sell across the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group (MOHG) portfolio through the MObilize program.
  • Support customer loyalty and brand standards by delivering service excellence.
  • Service customers to grow their share of the account.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, guests, and team members to understand and serve their needs effectively.
  • Set a positive example for sales, reservations, and conference sales teams.
  • Handle guest complaints and disputes.
  • Communicate all corporate and hotel policies and standard operating procedures to colleagues.

Qualifications and Experience

The role requires a proven track record in exceeding sales targets and the ability to identify, implement, and execute sales strategies and account plans. The Corporate Sales Manager will supervise and guide the team to achieve financial targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across all revenue streams. Attendance at trade shows and fairs in key feeder markets is also expected.
