Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and maintain project cost estimates for substation and power infrastructure projects.
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost breakdown structures, and cost reports.
• Conduct cost analysis and variance reporting to ensure projects remain within approved budgets.
• Coordinate with engineering teams to evaluate design changes and assess cost impacts.
• Support tender preparation, including bid evaluation and contractor price analysis.
• Review vendor quotations and subcontractor proposals to ensure alignment with cost targets.
• Implement effective cost control procedures, including change management and financial risk analysis.
• Prepare and present regular cost status reports to project leadership and stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in cost estimation and control for power projects.
• Proven experience in T&D infrastructure and EPC projects.
• Solid understanding of engineering design documents and construction processes.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Cost Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to support cost control, budgeting, and commercial activities within an active construction project. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Commercial & Contract Department to ensure accurate project costing, effective cost monitoring, and compliance with contractual and financial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing, monitoring, and controlling the project budget and cost plans.
• Track and analyze project expenditures, commitments, and cost variances.
• Prepare periodic cost reports, financial forecasts, and updates for management.
• Review and verify contractor invoices, variations, and change requests.
• Support the preparation of BOQs, cost estimates, and cost breakdown structures (CBS).
• Coordinate with the planning team to align cost performance with the project schedule.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost data and project documentation.
• Assist in tender evaluations, commercial comparisons, and procurement cost assessments.
• Ensure compliance with contractual, financial, and company policies.
• Collaborate with engineers, site teams, and quantity surveyors to validate on-site progress.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost engineering, cost control, or commercial support within the construction industry. Experience working on active construction sites is preferred. Strong understanding of cost analysis, budgeting, BOQs, and progress measurement is essential.

About the Role
Are you an experienced Cost Control Engineer with a strong background in project budgeting and financial control? We are looking for someone to take ownership of budget monitoring, cost reporting, and enforcing purchase order (PO) gatekeeping to ensure projects stay within financial targets.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report budget vs. actual project expenditures across multiple departments.
• Act as a gatekeeper for Purchase Orders (POs) to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Analyze cost variances and provide actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to validate spending.
• Maintain and update cost control systems and reporting tools.
• Use ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Excel/Power BI to deliver accurate cost reports.

Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in cost control within engineering, construction, or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of project financials and cost tracking tools.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI is a plus.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Fluency in English (written and verbal).
