Your Day as a Data Center Engineer L1
We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Data Center Engineer L1 responsible for servers, storage, HCI, backup implementation, and support. You will assist in the deployment and troubleshooting of compute, storage, and data protection issues under the supervision of senior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Installation and implementation of servers, storage systems, and hyper-converged infrastructure (HCI) from vendors such as Dell and HPE.
  • Deployment and configuration of virtualization environments, primarily VMware.
  • Manage and operate backup solutions using Veeam, including job creation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  • Collaboration with senior engineers to support and maintain data center infrastructure.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including Low-Level Design (LLD) and As-Built documentation.
  • Support day-to-day data center operations, including equipment racking, cabling, and hardware maintenance.
  • Ensure a secure, stable, and high-performing environment by following best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Basic knowledge of server hardware and storage systems (Dell, HPE).
  • Experience with VMware virtualization (installation and configuration).
  • Familiarity with Veeam Backup & Replication.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals and data center operations.
  • Ability to produce and maintain technical documentation.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective teamwork under guidance.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar degree preferred.
  • Knowledge of Apple/Microsoft and/or Linux Operating Systems.
  • Basic networking knowledge.
  • Hands-on experience with ticket tools.

Non-Technical Skills:
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven self-driven team player with problem resolution abilities.
  • Agility and quick-thinking to adapt to rapid changes.
  • Passion for delivering thorough follow-through on tasks.
