The Role of Data Scientist II

MOZN is seeking a Data Scientist II to contribute to its mission in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves independent contributions to building and deploying analytics and AI models. The focus of these models is to address challenges related to fraud and financial crime, with a strong emphasis on Financial Fraud Detection, KYC, AML, and applied Generative AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and deployment of fraud detection, AML, and GenAI-driven solutions.
• Apply Large Language Models (LLMs) to real-world problems such as transaction investigation, sanctions screening, and workflow automation.
• Translate business requirements into analytical and AI solutions.
• Own defined components of projects and deliver them end-to-end.
• Conduct experimentation and optimization of Machine Learning (ML) and GenAI models.
• Train, deploy, and monitor models in collaboration with engineering teams.
• Interact with Subject Matter Expert (SME) clients under guidance.
• Stay updated with regulatory, industry, and Generative AI best practices.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates for the Data Scientist II position should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience. Essential qualifications include hands-on experience in Financial Fraud Detection, Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and applied Generative AI solutions. The role requires a strong understanding of ML and GenAI model development, deployment, and optimization, along with the ability to translate complex business needs into effective technical solutions.
