About the Role

As a Depot Supply Specialist at GDC Middle East (الشركة السعودية لتهيئة وصيانة الطائرات) in Riyadh, you will perform essential logistical support functions for the Team Logistics/Supply Chain Management (LSCM) organization. This full-time role is critical for maintaining equipment operational readiness by managing the ordering, accounting, stocking, issue, transfer, and receipt of spares, consumable parts, and assigned equipment as specified by the customer.

Supply Chain Operations

This position involves comprehensive management of supply chain activities, ensuring efficient material flow and inventory accuracy. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ordering, receiving, inspecting, stowing, preserving, packaging, shipping, and issuing materials and cargo.
  • Unloading incoming inventory from trucks, stocking inventory onto shelf locations, and picking inventory for various needs.
  • Preparing repair shipments to Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and assembling kits.
  • Managing the process window for issues and returns of materials.
  • Performing regular inventory cycle counts, researching missing parts, and reporting any discrepancies identified.

Inventory Management and Quality Assurance

The specialist is responsible for maintaining precise inventory records and ensuring the quality of all supplies. This includes:

  • Maintaining and warehousing inventory, including performing automated parts operations.
  • Utilizing logistics management information systems (MIS) for accurate tracking and reporting purposes.
  • Ensuring proper documentation and tagging of both serviceable and unserviceable items.
  • Implementing quality control measures to ensure all supplies meet required specifications and standards.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing supplies to verify compliance with established standards.

Coordination and Compliance

Effective communication and adherence to operational guidelines are key aspects of this role:

  • Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the timely availability of required supplies.
  • Communicating effectively with vendors, contractors, and customer units regarding supply matters.
  • Preparing and submitting all required reports and documentation accurately and on schedule.
  • Ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and procedures throughout all supply operations.
  • Conducting safety briefings and training sessions for supply personnel to maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for the Depot Supply Specialist position should possess a solid background in logistics and supply chain management. The role requires 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in a similar capacity, demonstrating proficiency in supply operations and inventory control.

Work Environment

This role operates within a dynamic logistics environment, contributing directly to the operational readiness objectives of GDC Middle East. The position is based in Riyadh and is offered on a full-time basis.
