About the Digital Security Senior Managing Consultant Role
IBM is seeking a Digital Security Senior Managing Consultant for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role involves assessing and developing client relationships, designing, and implementing digital security services. The position requires demonstrating thought leadership, delivery expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of cloud-native and hybrid/third-party security controls.
Role Focus and Client Support
The primary focus of this role is to assist IBM clients with their transformation initiatives in Cloud Security, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and securing cloud workloads. This support extends across various service models deployed in private, public, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments, both on-premises and off-premises, and on major hyperscalers such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform.
Key Responsibilities and Engagement Management
This role is responsible for managing all activities related to the delivery of digital security solutions throughout client engagements. Key duties include:
- Consulting: Facilitating workshops, delivering presentations, producing high-quality deliverables, and managing large delivery engagements.
- Leadership: Supporting all aspects of the solution, providing guidance to colleagues and technical teams, managing client requirements, and aligning them with IBM's solutions.
- Solution Development: Creating and delivering the solution elements for Cloud & Data Security and IAM proposals, encompassing administrative, operational, or technical aspects.
- Client Understanding: Assessing the client's digital security posture, including their drivers, risk appetite, and legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
- Requirements Management: Providing visibility and understanding of the functional and non-functional requirements for security solutions.
- Proposal Support: Assisting client-facing teams in responding to requests for proposals.
- Technical Delivery: Architecting and delivering cloud-native solutions, blueprints, and security models for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS across hyperscalers, leveraging an agile approach and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Team Collaboration: Working with global and local teams to organize project approaches and client delivery teams.
- Issue Resolution: Assisting in resolving program issues with senior leadership.
- Client Relationships: Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships to advance the Security Services portfolio.
- Offering Development: Contributing content and advice to the offering development process and helping establish capability and skills models.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
Candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Cloud certification in at least one hyperscaler; security specialist certifications are preferred.
- A leading security certification such as CISA, CISSP, or CISM.
- Working experience with industry compliance and security standards including KSA NCA ECC, CSA CSM, PCI DSS, ISO 27001, NIST, and CIS.
- Experience conducting security architecture and configuration reviews using Zero Trust Security principles to identify gaps and produce assessment reports.
- Extensive knowledge in security solutions such as IAM, Data Protection, and Cloud Security.
- Experience developing high-quality security project design documentation.
- Working experience with cloud service models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), infrastructure, and technology.
- Background knowledge of KSA NCA ECC and other cloud-related regulations and standards (*, ISO/IEC 27018).
- A strong track record in delivering large-scale, complex, multi-year security transformation programs/projects in roles such as cloud security architect or senior delivery/technical lead.
- Experience working across diverse teams to facilitate solutions.
- Fluent in English.
Experience and Travel Requirements
The role requires significant experience in specific areas:
- At least 5 years of experience in international deployment roles, engaging with clients on hybrid/multi-cloud security.
- At least 8 years of experience in security consulting and/or architecture roles.
- A minimum of 10 years of overall experience across IT and Cyber Security.
- Readiness to travel 25-50%.
