About the Role

The Director – Benefits & Wellbeing will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a comprehensive benefits program that aligns with Qiddiya’s strategic objectives and complies with Saudi Arabian labor laws and regulations. This role will lead the benefits & wellbeing team to provide exceptional services to employees, ensuring their overall well-being, satisfaction, and engagement. The position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, and is a full-time role.

Strategy Development and Implementation

This role involves developing and implementing a comprehensive benefits and wellbeing strategy that supports the organization's goals, culture, and employee needs. Regular benefits assessments will be conducted to identify areas for improvement and innovation. Collaboration with HR leadership will be essential to determine appropriate benefit offerings and levels.

Benefits Program Management and Administration

The Director will oversee the design, implementation, and administration of various benefits programs. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Medical insurance
  • Retirement plans (*, General Organization for Social Insurance - GOSI)
  • Disability insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Leave policies (*, annual leave, sick leave, maternity/paternity leave)
  • Employee assistance programs (EAPs)
  • Other employee benefits and wellbeing initiatives as required

Management of relationships with external benefit providers and vendors is also a key responsibility.

Cost Management and Employee Communication

The role requires monitoring and controlling benefits costs to ensure alignment with the organization's budget, while exploring opportunities without compromising employee satisfaction and engagement. Negotiation of favorable terms with benefits providers will be undertaken. Furthermore, the Director will develop and implement effective communication strategies to educate employees about benefits programs and their entitlements, providing ongoing support and guidance.

Team Leadership and Compliance

Leading and managing a team, providing mentorship, coaching, and development opportunities to foster a positive and high-performing work environment is essential. The Director must ensure compliance with all relevant Saudi Arabian labor laws and regulations and identify and mitigate potential risks associated with benefits and wellbeing programs.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Master's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field. A minimum of 12 years of experience in benefits and wellbeing management is required, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. Strong understanding of Saudi Arabian labor laws and regulations, particularly related to benefits, is crucial. Proven track record of developing and implementing effective benefits programs, excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are necessary. The ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR management systems, is expected. Experience working in a multinational environment is also required.
