About the Role

Qiddiya Investment Company is seeking an experienced Director - Procurement for Transport to oversee and lead procurement activities within its Transport division. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, requires a strategic leader with over 10 years of experience to support the development of Qiddiya as a leading entertainment and lifestyle destination.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Director - Procurement for Transport will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive procurement strategies specifically tailored to the transport sector's needs. This includes managing the entire procurement lifecycle, from sourcing and supplier evaluation to contract negotiation and ongoing supplier relationship management for transport-related goods and services. The role involves close collaboration with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure procurement needs are met in alignment with project schedules and timelines.

• Oversee supplier performance, manage associated risks, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Monitor transport industry procurement trends, technologies, and market dynamics to foster innovation and cost efficiency.
• Ensure all procurement activities adhere to company policies, regulatory standards, and governance frameworks.
• Prepare detailed procurement reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for senior leadership.
• Lead and develop procurement team members, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, with a Master’s degree being preferred. A minimum of 10 years of procurement experience is required, with at least 5 of those years specifically in transport or infrastructure-related procurement. Proven experience in managing complex procurement projects and supplier contracts within the transport sector is essential.

Required Skills and Competencies

The role demands strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Experience in leading and developing procurement teams to achieve high performance is crucial. Familiarity with procurement regulations and practices within Saudi Arabia is considered advantageous. The ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities simultaneously is also required.
