About the Role

Qiddiya is developing a significant entertainment, sports, and cultural destination in Riyadh Province, Saudi Arabia, aligning with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. To support its ambitious goals, the organization requires robust supply chain and supplier relationship management, particularly within the transport sector. This full-time position of Director - Supplier Relationship Management - Transport is based in Riyadh and requires over 10 years of experience.

Role Overview

The Director - Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) will lead and manage supplier relationships within the transport domain. This role is responsible for establishing and implementing a structured SRM framework to enhance supplier engagement, improve performance transparency, manage supply chain risks, and drive long-term value. The position aims to position Qiddiya as a credible and collaborative client across a substantial procurement pipeline, contributing to market confidence and successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement a formal SRM framework, including supplier segmentation and governance structures.
  • Lead proactive market engagement initiatives, such as an annual industry briefing to communicate pipeline visibility and procurement strategy.
  • Collaborate with the Central Procurement team to ensure alignment, transparency, and coordination.
  • Establish and manage structured supplier performance scorecards for major contracts.
  • Facilitate quarterly executive-level performance reviews with strategic suppliers.
  • Identify and manage strategic supply chain risks, including capacity constraints, financial health, and concentration risk.
  • Integrate supplier insights into procurement strategies and risk registers in partnership with relevant departments.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, innovation workshops, and performance improvement plans.
  • Provide market intelligence to inform sourcing strategies and long-lead procurement planning.
  • Support dispute avoidance through early intervention and structured supplier engagement.
  • Develop executive dashboards to provide visibility of supplier performance trends and systemic risk themes.

Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement

  • Serve as the executive interface between Qiddiya and strategic suppliers.
  • Partner with Project Directors and Procurement leads on major package delivery.
  • Engage with industry bodies and supply chain partners to enhance Qiddiya’s reputation.
  • Provide clear and structured reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree in Commerce, Engineering, Business, Law, or a related discipline.
  • Over 15 years of experience in supplier relationship management, commercial leadership, or major procurement environments.
  • Proven experience managing strategic supplier portfolios within large-scale infrastructure programs.
  • A strong understanding of procurement governance and contract performance management.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and industry leaders.
  • Experience delivering structured industry engagement initiatives.
