About the Dynatrace Consultant Role

Huxley is seeking a hands-on Dynatrace expert to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and focuses on enhancing the performance and reliability of mobile and digital banking services through advanced monitoring and observability solutions.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

In this role, you will be instrumental in providing real-time visibility, proactive alerting, and deep technical insights across production environments. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing end-to-end Dynatrace dashboards for front-end, APIs, and infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business-relevant KPIs such as transaction success, response time, error rates, and user activity. You will develop and optimize DQL queries, create user journey funnels to track customer interactions, and configure Session Replay for analyzing user behavior. Additionally, you will implement anomaly detection, smart alerting, and notification workflows, and enable Digital Support teams with monitoring tools and training.

• Design and implement comprehensive Dynatrace dashboards covering front-end, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Build and maintain dashboards aligned with business KPIs (transaction success, response time, error rates, user activity).
• Develop and optimize DQL queries for extracting insights from observability data.
• Create and manage user journey funnels to track customer interactions and identify drop-off points.
• Configure and manage Session Replay for analyzing real user behavior and troubleshooting issues.
• Implement anomaly detection, smart alerting, and threshold-based monitoring strategies.
• Configure alert routing and notification workflows for support and engineering teams.
• Enable Digital Support teams with monitoring dashboards and training for first-level troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with DevOps, QA, and engineering teams to integrate Dynatrace into CI/CD pipelines.
• Perform ongoing monitoring optimization and observability maturity improvements.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy and regulatory requirements in monitoring practices.

Key Competencies and Requirements

Successful candidates will possess a strong analytical mindset with the ability to derive insights from logs, metrics, and traces, coupled with a deep understanding of observability frameworks and monitoring strategies. You should be able to translate technical insights into business-relevant KPIs and demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. A high attention to detail, strong documentation, and reporting capabilities are essential, as is the ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-availability, and regulated environments. The role requires 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace in enterprise settings, including proven experience building production-grade dashboards and monitoring solutions. Proficiency in Dynatrace Query Language (DQL) and metric expression creation is necessary, along with hands-on experience in funnel creation, user journey mapping, and business event tracking. Experience with Dynatrace Session Replay configuration and analysis is also required.

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Dynatrace in enterprise environments.
• Proven experience building production-grade dashboards and monitoring solutions in Dynatrace.
• Strong proficiency in Dynatrace Query Language (DQL) and metric expression creation.
• Hands-on experience with funnel creation, user journey mapping, and business event tracking.
• Experience with Dynatrace Session Replay configuration and analysis.
• Solid understanding of APM concepts: distributed tracing, log management, RUM, synthetic and infrastructure monitoring.
• Experience monitoring mobile applications (iOS & Android) within Dynatrace.
• Strong experience configuring alerting, anomaly detection, and integrating with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, PagerDuty, etc.).

Preferred Experience

Experience in banking, fintech, or regulated environments is preferred.
