About the Role

Teef Najd Group is seeking an experienced Contract Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires a strong background in Civil or Architectural Engineering and extensive experience in contract administration, particularly with FIDIC contracts. The successful candidate will manage contractual matters throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contract requirements and protecting the company’s contractual rights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage construction, Fit-Out, and Joint Venture (JV) contracts in accordance with contractual requirements and project procedures.
  • Apply strong practical knowledge and experience with FIDIC contracts, including Red, Yellow, and Silver Books.
  • Review and interpret contracts, specifications, drawings, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and project documentation.
  • Manage Variations, Claims, Extensions of Time (EOT), contractual notices, payment certificates, and final accounts.
  • Evaluate contractor/subcontractor claims, variations, delays, and contractual entitlements.
  • Identify contractual risks and support claims prevention, dispute resolution, and negotiations.
  • Prepare and manage contractual correspondence, notices, and supporting documentation.
  • Coordinate with Project Management, Engineering, Planning, Cost Control, Procurement, and Legal teams.
  • Maintain Contract, Claims, Variation, and Correspondence Registers.
  • Provide contractual and commercial support throughout the project lifecycle, including building, architectural, Fit-Out, and JV projects.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience in construction/project contracts, preferably on major infrastructure, building, or development projects.
  • Extensive practical experience in FIDIC contracts and contract administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Claims Management, Variations, EOT, Delay Analysis, and Dispute Resolution.
  • Experience working with contractors, consultants, clients, and project management teams.
  • Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, schedules, and project documentation.

Required Skills

  • Excellent contractual writing, negotiation, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with Primavera is an advantage.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a full-time basis within a project-focused environment, requiring collaboration with various internal and external stakeholders.
