About the Role

People Group Arabia is seeking an Executive Director – Accounting, Planning & Financial Control to join the executive leadership team of a major organization in Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is a significant opportunity for an experienced finance leader to contribute to a company undergoing substantial growth and transformation.

Role Overview

Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), the Executive Director will provide leadership across four subsidiaries. The role is responsible for the organization's financial integrity, governance, planning, and performance. This position oversees three key finance functions: Financial Control, Tax, and Accounting. The Executive Director will collaborate with the Executive Committee, Boards, and senior stakeholders to shape financial strategy and ensure best-in-class reporting, governance, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead accounting, financial control, and tax functions across multiple legal entities.
• Drive corporate planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Ensure accurate IFRS financial reporting and statutory compliance.
• Strengthen governance, internal controls, and financial risk management frameworks.
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.
• Lead finance transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Build, mentor, and develop high-performing finance leadership teams.
• Manage relationships with auditors, regulators, banking partners, and external advisors.
• Present financial performance and strategic recommendations to Executive Committees and Boards.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a senior finance executive with the experience and credibility to operate at Board level. This includes:

• Experience as an Executive Director, Divisional CFO, Group CFO, or Group Financial Controller.
• Experience gained within a listed company or a similarly complex multinational organization.
• Demonstrated responsibility for multiple legal entities or subsidiaries.
• Strong expertise across Financial Control, Accounting, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), and Tax.
• Deep knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting, governance, and financial controls.
• A proven track record of leading large finance teams through transformation and growth.
• Outstanding leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent Chartered Accountant qualification is required.
• An MBA or Master's degree is considered advantageous.
