About the Role

The Management Recruitment Group (MRG) is partnering with a prominent Saudi Arabian destination developer to appoint an Executive Director for Asset Management, focusing on a flagship motorsports track and its associated assets within a key development in Riyadh. This is a full-time, owner-side position offering the opportunity to significantly influence the commercial, operational, and customer strategies of a landmark asset prior to its opening. The role integrates development, operations, commercial strategy, hospitality, event programming, governance, and long-term asset performance.

Core Responsibilities

The Executive Director will lead the asset management strategy for the motorsports track, ensuring its positioning for sustainable financial performance, strong operator delivery, a premium customer experience, and year-round utilization. This encompasses strategic planning for race days, motorsports events, training activities, hospitality offerings, memberships, partnerships, sponsorships, ancillary revenue generation, and non-event asset activation.

Strategic Oversight and Collaboration

This role requires close collaboration with internal teams including development, strategy, finance, commercial, and operational readiness, as well as external stakeholders such as third-party operators, race authorities, equestrian bodies, sponsors, advisors, and event partners. The mandate involves challenging business plans, governing operator performance, interpreting commercial data, safeguarding owner interests, and providing practical recommendations to senior leadership. The focus is commercial and strategic, with accountability for revenue growth, EBITDA, attendance, yield, asset utilization, customer experience, safety, compliance, operator performance, and long-term value creation.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess over 10 years of senior experience in areas such as automotive, race tracks, sports venues, major events, hospitality-led destinations, leisure assets, or complex entertainment assets. Direct motorsports experience is highly relevant, though a strong understanding of premium venue economics, operator governance, event-led revenue, and the customer journey for high-profile sporting assets is essential.

• Senior leadership experience in venue operations, asset management, motorsports, leisure, entertainment, hospitality, or major events.
• Strong commercial judgment, with a track record of reviewing budgets, forecasts, business plans, revenue strategies, and performance reporting.
• Experience overseeing operators, service providers, promoters, sponsors, or commercial partners.
• Credibility with senior stakeholders and the ability to operate effectively within a complex, high-growth development environment.
• Exposure to pre-opening phases, mobilization, asset handover, operating model development, or major event readiness.
• An understanding of premium hospitality, memberships, sponsorship, event programming, and guest experience.
