Role Overview

Gheras Alkhairat is seeking a Farm Operations Manager to lead all agricultural and production operations across its farm sectors in Riyadh. This full-time role requires a hands-on professional with strong business acumen to ensure the highest standards of quality, yield, and profitability from palm care through harvest and post-harvest processes.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee the complete date palm cultivation cycle, including pruning, pollination, fruit thinning, bunch bending and covering, and harvest scheduling based on ripening stages.
• Develop annual and seasonal operational plans for each farm sector and monitor execution against defined yield and quality targets.
• Analyze historical production data, such as yield per palm, grade distribution, and losses, to recommend improvements in efficiency and quality.
• Manage comprehensive irrigation, fertilization, and pest control programs, with a specific focus on the Red Palm Weevil, supported by routine soil and water testing.
• Maintain accurate inventory of farm inputs, including fertilizers, pesticides, and field packaging, ensuring their availability prior to each season.
• Schedule and supervise the maintenance and replacement of essential farm equipment, machinery, lifts, and irrigation systems.

Quality, Compliance, and Team Leadership

• Supervise the post-harvest handover process in coordination with the production team, covering initial sorting, cold-chain transfer, and compliance with export quality standards.
• Implement and ensure adherence to food safety standards, ********* requirements, and SFDA regulations, leading audit and certification readiness efforts.
• Manage both permanent teams and seasonal labor, encompassing workforce planning, training, task allocation, and ensuring compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards.

Financial and Strategic Coordination

• Prepare operational budgets and generate periodic performance and cost reports for review by senior management.
• Coordinate effectively with the Export and Marketing teams regarding crop forecasts, available volumes, and grade specifications.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in farm operations management, preferably within the agricultural sector or a related field.
