About the Financial Analysis Assistant Manager Role

stc is seeking a Financial Analysis Assistant Manager to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of experience and is responsible for delivering comprehensive financial analysis, developing sophisticated financial models, and preparing robust business cases to support strategic decision-making and commercial opportunities. The role holder will ensure accurate financial assessments and effective business case governance by collaborating with various internal teams.

Core Responsibilities and Duties

The primary responsibilities of this role involve:

  • Collecting and evaluating financial and operational data, including key business metrics and P&L information, to assess deal profitability and inform commercial decisions.
  • Developing financial models to support strategic initiatives, bids, investment opportunities, and commercial proposals.
  • Preparing detailed business cases by integrating commercial, financial, operational, and technical inputs from Deal Desk and bidding teams.
  • Assessing the financial feasibility, profitability, risks, and expected returns of business opportunities, and providing actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Producing periodic reports and dashboards on deal consumption, approved discounts, opportunity pipelines, bid funnel performance, and financial trends.
  • Generating weekly reports detailing bid management activities, financial status, progress, and key performance indicators.
  • Maintaining historical records and audit trails of completed deals to support governance, benchmarking, and future analysis.
  • Presenting business case findings and financial recommendations to bidding teams, account managers, and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with Business Finance to review, validate, and approve business cases, ensuring alignment with portfolio-level financial objectives.
  • Supporting the continuous improvement of financial modeling methodologies, reporting processes, and analytical tools to enhance decision-making effectiveness.

Key Accountabilities

The role holder is accountable for delivering accurate financial analysis and robust business cases. This includes ensuring the integrity of financial models, the clarity of business case presentations, and the timely delivery of performance reports. Adherence to stipulated business policies and procedures in carrying out duties is also a key accountability.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years and a maximum of 10 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or a related field.
  • Proven experience in developing financial models and preparing detailed business cases.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting and performance analysis.
  • Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, including finance, commercial, and bidding departments.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

This role requires close collaboration with Deal Desk, Business Finance, and bidding teams to ensure comprehensive and accurate financial assessments. The Assistant Manager will also present findings and recommendations to various stakeholders, including bidding teams and account managers, fostering effective communication and alignment on financial strategies.
