The Front Office Supervisor Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Front Office Supervisor to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is responsible for overseeing front office operations, ensuring efficient guest check-ins, accurate account management, and providing comprehensive guest services. The role involves verifying guest identity, managing payments, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys, while upholding brand standards and supporting team members.

Core Responsibilities

  • Process all guest check-ins, including verifying guest identity, form of payment, assigning rooms, and activating/issuing room keys.
  • Set up accurate accounts for each guest according to their requirements and enter Marriott Rewards information.
  • Ensure rates match market codes, document exceptions, and secure payment prior to issuing room keys, verifying and adjusting billing.
  • Accommodate guest requests, contacting appropriate staff if necessary, and follow up to ensure requests have been met.
  • Supply guests with directions and property information.
  • Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.

Operational Duties and Team Support

  • Compile and review daily reports, logs, and contingency lists.
  • Complete cashier and closing reports, balance and drop receipts, and count and secure the bank at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Process all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges; obtain manual authorizations and follow all Accounting procedures.
  • Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft.
  • Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and coaching employees.
  • Serve as a role model and first point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support the team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager, and complete safety training and certifications.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
  • Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Language: Ability to speak using clear and professional language; prepare and review written documents accurately and completely; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette.
  • Technical Skills: Ability to enter and locate information using computers/POS systems.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

This is a full-time position that requires ensuring personal appearance is clean and professional, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets. The role involves standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods of time. It also requires the ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance. The Front Office Supervisor will perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
