Functional Consultant

About the Role

Zahran Facilities Management is seeking a Functional Consultant to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves working with various departments to optimize business processes through the Odoo system. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of experience in a similar capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and analyze requirements from departments such as Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Accounting, and Human Resources, translating them into clear functional specifications.
• Prepare Gap Analysis documentation to identify discrepancies between business requirements and standard Odoo capabilities.
• Configure and set up various Odoo modules, prioritizing standard functionalities to avoid code customization.
• Train end users and develop User Manuals and other relevant training materials.
• Coordinate and follow up on User Acceptance Testing (UAT) prior to system go-live, documenting user feedback and issues.

Technical Responsibilities

• Develop and customize Odoo modules using Python and the Odoo framework.
• Design and develop customized reports using QWeb and Jasper Reports.
• Develop and customize user interfaces and views, including Form, Tree, and Kanban Views, using XML.
• Build and maintain integrations with external systems using XML-RPC, JSON-RPC, and REST APIs.
• Write and execute SQL queries for data analysis, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
• Manage data migration activities, including data import and export.
• Support and monitor system upgrades across different Odoo versions.

Shared Responsibilities and Collaboration

• Provide technical support to users and troubleshoot day-to-day system issues.
• Coordinate with other business teams, including Accounting, Purchasing, and Inventory, to ensure system alignment with actual business workflows.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and system performance enhancement projects.
• Work collaboratively across multiple departments to ensure effective coordination and successful implementation of solutions.
