Role Purpose

The Health and Safety Officer is responsible for developing risk assessments, procedures, and training content related to health, safety, and environmental matters. This role provides specialized HSE support to project sites, ensuring compliance and strengthening safety controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review risk assessments, job safety analyses, and HSE procedures.
• Establish controls for high-risk activities, including lifting, excavation, work at height, confined space, and hot work.
• Verify that method statements accurately reflect agreed-upon controls.
• Advise project teams on specialized HSE inquiries.
• Support sites in preparing for client and third-party audits.
• Review incident investigations and reinforce resulting controls.
• Develop HSE training content, inductions, and a toolbox talk library.
• Maintain the HSE training matrix and track competence records.
• Deliver specialized training sessions on assigned topics.
• Maintain HSE documentation and management system records.
• Monitor changes in Saudi occupational safety and health regulations and assess their impact.
• Verify project compliance with regulatory and client requirements.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant health and safety role. The ability to develop and implement HSE procedures, conduct risk assessments, and deliver training is essential for this position.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where the Health and Safety Officer will work closely with project teams and site personnel to ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations.
