About the Role

W Hotels is seeking a Heart of House Talent Coach (Supervisor-Stewards) for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role involves overseeing and supporting the Heart of House team to ensure efficient operations and a high standard of service.

Key Responsibilities

The Heart of House Talent Coach will direct and assist Stewards to optimize cleanup processes. This includes ensuring appropriate water temperatures and chemical levels for cleaning, and maintaining accurate documentation. The role also involves assisting with banquet plate-ups, supporting cooks and kitchen staff with various tasks, and providing them with necessary items. Additionally, the coach will support banquet and buffet operations by transporting supplies and ensuring adequate stock levels. Responsibilities extend to returning cleaned items to their designated locations and operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as the dishwashing machine, hand wash stations, pot-scrubbing station, and trash compactor.

Team Development and Operations Support

This position plays a crucial role in team management, assisting with hiring, training, scheduling, performance evaluations, counseling, discipline, motivation, and coaching of employees. Adherence to all company policies and safety and security procedures is mandatory, including reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions. The role requires maintaining a clean and professional appearance, upholding confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets. A key aspect involves welcoming and acknowledging guests according to company standards and anticipating and addressing their service needs. Effective communication through clear and professional language is essential, alongside developing and maintaining positive working relationships and supporting team goals to meet quality expectations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED equivalent. A minimum of 2 years of related work experience is required, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience. The role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking are expected. The role also involves reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping, as well as navigating sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces. Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors is also part of the role.
