About the Role

Atrium Project Management - APM, a part of Talaat Moustafa Group TMG, is seeking an experienced HSE Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is crucial for establishing and maintaining a robust safety culture and ensuring compliance across project sites.

Role Purpose and Impact

The primary purpose of the HSE Manager is to implement and oversee all necessary measures to prevent incidents on site. This involves ensuring that HSE programs and procedures are correctly executed by all working entities. The role aims to significantly increase HSE awareness and foster a culture where safety is the top priority for a secure work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct site resources and activities to support HSE programs, providing advice and guidance to Site Senior Management.
  • Maintain appropriate levels of awareness, knowledge, and preparedness across the site to prioritize effective HSE and balance associated costs.
  • Review HSE policies and practices for currency and appropriateness, conducting hazard and risk assessments, and developing new recommendations.
  • Serve as the site's HSE expert for regulatory compliance issues, third-party safety and liability consultants, and subcontractor representatives.
  • Provide regular written reports and production-related updates to the Senior Management Team.
  • Assist the project team in investigating all project incidents (Recordable Incidents, Near Miss, First Aid) and ensure proper records are completed and submitted.
  • Support the implementation of corrective actions and ensure "lessons learned" are incorporated into programs as needed.
  • Devise, supervise, and coordinate training programs or media to enhance proficiency in safe practices and promote HSE consciousness.
  • Actively participate in scheduling safety meetings across Company locations to review HSE performance and policies.
  • Oversee site HSE incentive programs, periodically reviewing them to ensure desired results are achieved and making necessary adjustments.
  • Stay abreast of current and emerging technical and professional aspects relevant to the position.
  • Conduct site visits and audits.
  • Perform any other assigned tasks within the scope of job duties and responsibilities.

Required Experience and Expertise

Candidates for this HSE Manager position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Health, Safety, and Environment management, preferably within a project management or construction context. Demonstrated expertise in HSE program implementation, risk assessment, regulatory compliance, and incident investigation is essential for success in this role.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working on-site and collaborating closely with various project entities and senior management to maintain high safety standards.
