Burjline Builders is seeking a Mechanical Site Engineer for a full-time position in Riyadh. Role Overview

The Mechanical Site Engineer will be responsible for the supervision, coordination, and execution of all mechanical works at the project site. This role ensures that installations, testing, and commissioning are performed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, relevant codes, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and supervise the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire-fighting, piping, and equipment.
• Ensure all works are completed according to approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Monitor daily activities and ensure progress aligns with project timelines.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractor activities.
• Review mechanical drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals.
• Verify quantities and ensure correct materials are delivered and utilized on site.
• Conduct site inspections and verify the quality of work.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and civil works to prevent clashes.
• Assist in the testing, balancing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
• Ensure compliance with site safety rules and HSE procedures.
• Implement quality control procedures and inspection test plans (ITPs).
• Identify and report non-conformities, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure installations meet industry standards such as ASHRAE, SMACNA, and NFPA.
• Attend site meetings with contractors, consultants, and client representatives.
• Ensure the availability of materials, tools, and equipment necessary for work progress.
• Coordinate with procurement teams for the timely delivery of mechanical items.
• Communicate technical issues or delays to the project manager.
• Prepare daily and weekly site progress reports.
• Maintain records of inspections, tests, and mechanical activities.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and O&M documentation.
• Ensure proper documentation of commissioning results.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors for seamless execution of mechanical works.
• Support BIM coordination by aligning site execution with approved models to minimize clashes, rework, and delays.
• Stay informed on industry trends, materials, and technology to ensure project innovation.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical Technology or a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 6 years of experience in mechanical site execution, covering HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, MEP, or related fields.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and installation techniques.
• Understanding of mechanical calculations, including duct sizing, pump head, and pipe sizing.
• Familiarity with commissioning procedures.
• Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and MS Office.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant international codes (IEC, NEC, BS, local regulations) and standards.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and technical excellence.
• Solid understanding of project workflows, timelines, and cross-phase coordination.
• Excellent command of both Arabic and English languages.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.

Work Environment

This position is site-based in Riyadh. Occasional international travel may be required.
