About the Role

Accenture Middle East is seeking a skilled Microsoft Purview Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to designing, implementing, and managing enterprise data protection solutions, ensuring the security and compliance of sensitive information across the organization. The Microsoft Purview Engineer will play a key role in safeguarding data by leveraging the full capabilities of Microsoft Purview. This position requires a proactive approach to security, a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 services, and a commitment to supporting audit and compliance initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement auto-labeling policies within Microsoft Purview to automatically classify sensitive data based on content and context.
  • Develop and fine-tune trainable classifiers to improve the detection of business-specific sensitive information.
  • Implement endpoint Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies to prevent data exfiltration from user devices, including restrictions on USB usage and printing.
  • Configure policy tips and user notifications to enhance user awareness and reduce accidental data sharing.
  • Conduct comprehensive data discovery and classification scans across structured and unstructured data repositories.
  • Optimize DLP rule conditions and thresholds to effectively balance security enforcement with business usability.
  • Define and enforce usage rights, including view, edit, print, and copy/forward restrictions, through Microsoft Purview Digital Rights Management (DRM).
  • Perform root cause analysis for recurring DLP incidents and implement preventive controls to mitigate future occurrences.
  • Integrate Microsoft Purview with existing security tools and workflows to establish centralized data protection management.
  • Support audit and compliance activities by providing detailed reports, evidence, and classification insights.
  • Manage the sensitivity label lifecycle, encompassing creation, modification, publishing, and retirement.
  • Configure label-based encryption and access controls to ensure persistent protection of sensitive files and emails.
  • Automate report generation and alert monitoring using compliance center dashboards and logs.
  • Conduct user training sessions and awareness programs to improve the adoption of data protection policies.
  • Implement role-based access controls (RBAC) for secure administration of compliance tools.
