About the Mining Innovation Expert Role

eSense is seeking a full-time Mining Innovation Expert for an on-site position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is integral to driving advancements within the Kingdom's mining sector, aligning with Vision 2030 and the National Mining Strategy.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Mining Innovation Expert will lead the development of innovative mining and mineral products. This involves spearheading research and development initiatives and cultivating strategic partnerships to foster the growth of Saudi Arabia's mining industry. The role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure that innovation efforts yield tangible operational and commercial results.

• Identifying and evaluating cutting-edge mining technologies.
• Contributing to or leading research and development programs.
• Conducting technical analyses and feasibility studies.
• Coordinating with research institutions and technology partners.
• Delivering evidence-based recommendations to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in developing innovative mining or mineral products, with a proven track record in industrial R&D. A strong understanding of modern mining technologies, including advanced extraction methods, mineral processing innovations, and emerging industry trends, is essential. The ability to lead or actively participate in research and development teams within the mining or industrial sector is required.

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related field is required; a PhD in Engineering, Sciences, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Prior experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC mining sector is highly preferred.
• An active research background, evidenced by published academic or industry research in mining, mineral processing, or related fields, will be strongly considered.

Required Skills and Competencies

Successful candidates will demonstrate strong skills in building partnerships with research institutions, technology companies, and government entities to support mining innovation. Solid analytical capabilities are necessary to assess emerging technologies and translate findings into actionable strategies and technical recommendations. Excellent communication and presentation skills are expected, with Arabic proficiency being a strong advantage.
