About the Opportunity

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center (KFSH) is seeking a dedicated Neurophysiology Laboratory Specialist to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience and involves contributing to the clinical neurophysiology section.

Role Purpose and Scope

The Neurophysiology Laboratory Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting the Clinical Neurophysiology Section. This position involves assisting with supervision and maintaining designated responsibility for a defined procedural area within the laboratory, ensuring high standards of patient care and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical and technical duties, including pro-rata on-call, related to various neurophysiology procedures such as Electroencephalography (EEG), Evoked Potentials (EPs), Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)/Electromyography (EMG), Long Term Monitoring (LTM), Intraoperative Neurophysiological Monitoring (IONM), Pulse Oximetry (Pox), Autonomic Studies, and Sleep Studies.
  • Assist with the day-to-day supervision of the Neurophysiology Laboratory service as assigned.
  • Act as a supervisor during absences of the Neurophysiology Laboratory Manager.
  • Support the assurance that all laboratory equipment is in safe working condition and that necessary materials and supplies are readily available.
  • Participate in the development and modification of laboratory policies and standards of practice.
  • Assist in ensuring adherence to all Hospital and laboratory policies and standards of practice.
  • Contribute to the implementation of quality management and quality improvement programs within the laboratory.
  • Act as a liaison between the medical and technical staff of the Laboratory.
  • Liaise with other Hospital Departments as required to ensure seamless operations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of experience in a relevant neurophysiology setting and meet the following essential qualifications:

  • Current Registration from country of origin and the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS).
  • Board registration in EEG/Electrodiagnostics.
  • Certification through examination from an accredited Electroneurodiagnostic Program.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based at King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Center in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
