About the Night Baker (Chef de Partie) Role

Sheraton is seeking a Night Baker (Chef de Partie) to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a dedicated individual with 2-5 years of relevant experience in baking and pastry preparation.

Core Responsibilities

The Night Baker will be responsible for the preparation of a variety of breads and pastries. This includes preparing doughs and fillings, proofing, baking, and decorating items as required. A key part of the role involves reviewing the daily production sheet to understand the range of baked goods to be produced.

  • Prepare and cook food items in accordance with established recipes, quality, and presentation standards.
  • Maintain kitchen logs to ensure compliance with the food safety program.
  • Communicate with the Chef regarding excess food items to assist in planning daily specials.
  • Safely and appropriately utilize baking and measuring tools, equipment, and appliances.
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with food safety handling policies and procedures, including personal hygiene standards.
  • Monitor and report any issues with the temperatures of kitchen appliances and food items to management.
  • Oversee the quality of prepared food and portion sizes served during the shift.

  • Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
  • Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time.

Qualifications and Experience

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet specific educational and experience criteria. Previous supervisory experience is not required for this role.

  • Technical, Trade, or Vocational School Degree.
  • At least 2 years of related work experience.
  • No supervisory experience required.
  • No specific license or certification is required for this position.
