Operations Center Supervisor

About the Role

The Water Transmission Company is seeking an Operations Center Supervisor to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on overseeing the operations and maintenance of water transmission systems, ensuring continuous and efficient supply, and coordinating across departments to optimize operational processes and achieve high performance standards. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure all work adheres to approved policies, processes, procedures, and instructions.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in systems and practices, aiming for cost reduction and enhanced productivity and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, bylaws, and standards within the Water Transmission Company, including those related to Human Capital, Industrial Safety and Security, Risks, and Cybersecurity.
• Escalate issues to ensure challenges are resolved efficiently and promptly.
• Oversee transmission and distribution operations, monitoring water pumping to main stations and ensuring distribution to each city according to operational plans and Operations Management Director instructions.
• Monitor the efficiency of stations and equipment in coordination with supervisors, conducting periodic checks to ensure system readiness and operational continuity, and reporting on performance and operational needs.
• Coordinate operational interventions between production and distribution systems to balance water pumping, and monitor external pipeline interventions to prevent operational impact.
• Collaborate with operations teams and supervisors on implementing start-up and shutdown operations, switching supply lines, controlling tank levels, and addressing drops in storage levels.
• Follow up on major maintenance work at stations, pipelines, and main tanks in coordination with maintenance department heads, evaluate equipment performance, and ensure efficient implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
• Prepare periodic operational reports on performance, production, consumption, shutdowns, and operational challenges, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate operational requests with the operational supply platform to approve daily and monthly needs, ensuring the availability of supplies and main spare parts.
• Develop operational competencies by preparing training plans and programs for transmission system workers, and conduct technical interviews with training specialists to ensure team readiness.
• Coordinate with external parties for internal audit programs, business continuity, emergency plans, and operational plans, contributing to process improvement and annual water quantity coordination.
• Assume the responsibilities of the Center Operations Leader when needed, including monitoring operational processes, managing operational teams, and coordinating with relevant departments.
• Direct shift supervisors on pipeline operations, including station and pipeline start-up/shutdown, supply line switching, and main/emergency tank levels.
• Periodically inspect stations to ensure proper system and device operation and general cleanliness.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields or Engineering.
• 5-10 years of experience in operations and maintenance of water transmission systems.
