About Al-Ayuni Investment and Contracting Company

Al-Ayuni Investment and Contracting Company, a prominent firm based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a dedicated Planning Engineer to join its Project Controls team. This full-time role offers an opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure projects within a dynamic environment.

Role Overview

The Planning Engineer will be responsible for supporting planning, scheduling, and progress monitoring activities across major infrastructure projects. This role ensures accurate reporting and effective schedule control throughout the project lifecycle, contributing to the successful delivery of complex undertakings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Assist in preparing baseline schedules, Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), activity sequencing, and resource loading.
  • Update project progress, monitor schedule performance, and identify deviations.
  • Prepare weekly, bi-weekly, and monthly look-ahead schedules.
  • Develop progress reports, S-Curves, dashboards, Key Performance Indicator (KPI) reports, and resource histograms.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and Site teams to collect progress updates.
  • Support delay analysis, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), and Extension of Time (EOT) documentation.
  • Assist in forecasting, resource planning, and schedule recovery activities.
  • Monitor manpower and equipment productivity against planned targets.
  • Ensure planning data is accurate and aligned with project requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • 4–6 years of experience in Planning & Scheduling.
  • Proven experience working on Infrastructure Projects.
  • Previous experience with a Main Contractor is required.
  • Hands-on experience with Primavera P6.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.

Preferred Skills and Background

Candidates should possess a good understanding of Critical Path Method (CPM), Project Controls, Progress Monitoring, Delay Analysis, Time Impact Analysis (TIA), Extension of Time (EOT), Resource Loading, S-Curves, and KPI Reporting. Experience with Power BI is preferred, and PMP certification is considered a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in major infrastructure or giga projects, including roads, bridges, utilities, water networks, sewer networks, metro, airports, or similar large-scale developments.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a dedicated Project Controls team focused on delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
