About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking an experienced PMV Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on ensuring the optimal performance, maintenance, and reliability of tower cranes and lifting equipment across construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the maintenance, reliability, inspection, and operational performance of tower cranes and lifting equipment.
• Manage both preventive and corrective maintenance activities for all tower cranes and lifting equipment.
• Conduct thorough troubleshooting and root cause analysis for any mechanical failures that occur.
• Coordinate all aspects of tower crane operations, including erection, dismantling, climbing, and commissioning.
• Monitor equipment performance, utilization rates, and associated maintenance costs to ensure efficiency.
• Ensure strict compliance with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) requirements, safety regulations, and statutory inspection mandates.
• Liaise effectively with project teams, third-party inspectors, and equipment suppliers to maintain smooth operations.
• Review and maintain accurate maintenance records, inspection reports, and equipment certifications.
• Support spare parts planning and the allocation of maintenance resources.

Required Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in PMV, heavy equipment, or construction equipment maintenance is necessary.
• At least 5 years of direct experience specifically with tower cranes is essential.
• Demonstrated strong knowledge of tower crane maintenance, troubleshooting, inspections, and operational requirements.
• Experience with major tower crane brands such as Potain, Liebherr, Comansa, Zoomlion, Wolffkran, or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience working within construction contracting companies is mandatory.
• A strong understanding of lifting equipment safety standards and industry best practices is crucial.
