About the Private Capital Sales Specialist Role

MSCI Private Capital is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Private Capital Sales Specialist to join its sales team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and focuses on serving selected segments within the institutional investor and family office community across the GCC. The role involves originating new business and managing existing client relationships for MSCI Private Capital's suite of products, which provide data, analytics, and solutions for private asset teams.

Role and Responsibilities

The Private Capital Sales Specialist will be responsible for positioning and closing sales with prospective clients, as well as upselling to existing clients. This role requires leveraging in-depth knowledge of the investment management process to identify client needs and opportunities. The position involves senior-level relationship management, product demonstrations, contract negotiation, and ongoing client engagement. Collaboration with Sales Management, Relationship Management, Client Service, Product Management, Legal, and Sales Operations is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve targeted quarterly and annual new net sales goals.
  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans for the allocated sales territory.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline for assigned countries and industry segments.
  • Lead client engagement, needs assessment, and solution pitches.
  • Maintain accurate records of account visits, client conversations, and finalized contracts.
  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to ensure client requests are managed effectively.
  • Solicit client feedback for new initiatives and future product development.
  • Provide client feedback to Marketing, Sales, Research, and Product Development groups.

Required Skills and Experience

Successful candidates will possess a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets, particularly when selling to institutional clients. Strong financial knowledge and experience are essential, along with demonstrable business development and institutional sales closing skills. The role requires superior time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously and a solid understanding of financial markets and the investment process. Experience working within financial services and dealing with major financial institutions, especially institutional investors, is highly valued.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required; an MBA or Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, CAIA, or MFA are considered a plus.
  • Excellent spoken and written English is mandatory.
  • Arabic language skills would be advantageous.
  • Experience working in or covering the Middle East or Saudi Arabian market is highly advantageous.

Work Location and Travel

This role is based in MSCI's Laysen Valley office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Travel to client locations across the GCC will be required to meet with clients and prospects regarding new products and enhancements to existing offerings.
