Role Purpose

The Product Specialist Immunology is responsible for executing brand strategy and tactics in the field to drive sales performance. This involves effectively managing an assigned territory and targeted accounts, building strong customer relationships, and developing capabilities to address customer needs. The primary objective is to maximize short-term and long-term sales performance, with a focus on patient well-being, while operating within AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed sales performance targets, brand Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), financial targets, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call plans using SMART objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to continuously enhance sales performance.
• Effectively manage objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, consistently securing logical and reasonable calls to action during sales interactions.
• Proactively address customer needs, expectations, and challenges to build trusted relationships and achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement a call plan that meets established call metrics and optimizes coverage and frequency to key customers, maximizing access and sales opportunities.
• Continuously develop understanding of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, disease states, product knowledge, clinical data, and sales expertise.
• Share market intelligence with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager to ensure alignment, anticipate environmental changes, and optimize brand strategy and execution.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers and identify, develop, and maintain relationships with disease state experts and speakers/advocates to maximize brand performance.
