About the Role

Teef Najd Group is seeking a dedicated Quality Control Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of proven experience, specifically within fit-out and finishing projects. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring all construction and finishing activities adhere to approved drawings, project specifications, and quality standards.

Role Objective

The primary objective of this role is to implement robust quality control procedures, conduct thorough site inspections, and manage comprehensive quality documentation. The Quality Control Engineer will coordinate closely with project teams, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure the delivery of high-quality projects that meet all applicable requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement QA/QC procedures, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality control processes.
• Conduct regular inspections of fit-out and finishing activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Inspect architectural and finishing works, including flooring, ceilings, painting, wall finishes, partitions, doors, joinery, and tiling.
• Review and verify materials, workmanship, and installation methods against approved submittals and specifications.
• Prepare, submit, and follow up on Inspection Requests (IRs), Method Statements, Material Submittals, and other quality-related documents.
• Identify quality issues and coordinate corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure timely closure of corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers regarding quality requirements and inspections.
• Monitor site activities to ensure proper implementation of approved materials and construction methods.
• Maintain accurate QA/QC records, inspection reports, test results, checklists, and project quality documentation.
• Participate in testing, commissioning, and final inspections as required.
• Support the project team in achieving quality objectives, minimizing defects, and ensuring timely project completion.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, standards, and company quality policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Proven experience (5-10 years) as a QA/QC Engineer in fit-out, interior, finishing, or architectural construction projects.
• GCC/Saudi Arabia project experience is preferred.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of fit-out and finishing construction activities and quality requirements.
• Good understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, Method Statements, Inspection Requests, NCRs, and material approvals.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify construction defects and quality issues.
• Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
