About the Regional Sales Manager Role

SSAB Special Steels is seeking a proactive, effective, and performance-driven Regional Sales Manager to join its Sales division for Value Added Parts (VAP). This full-time position is based in Central Saudi Arabia, offering a challenging opportunity within a global context for a professional aiming to be part of a high-achieving team.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, the Regional Sales Manager will independently manage sales presentations, contracts, and proposals, focusing exclusively on value-added products. Key responsibilities include negotiating offers covering prices, delivery times, and terms, as well as contributing to strategy development and its implementation to achieve strategic goals. The role involves identifying opportunities for upgrading to Special Steels, utilizing digital tools to attract new customers, and continuously improving sales processes. Documenting customer activities in Salesforce is also a core function. The position requires ensuring sustainable business practices aligned with SSAB’s code of conduct, responding to customer inquiries, building positive relationships, and referring customer feedback and competitor information to relevant internal teams.

Key Duties and Activities

  • Develop strategic goals for the Sales Area (Central Saudi Arabia and partially Pakistan) and translate them into actionable sales and development activities.
  • Plan and execute work to implement the Area strategy, including customer meetings and follow-ups.
  • Independently set up sales presentations, contracts, and proposals; negotiate offers and monitor credit terms.
  • Obtain on-site measurements, input them into AutoCad, perform estimations, and prepare offers.
  • Develop new leads and opportunities for upgrading to Special Steels in strategic segments.
  • Continuously improve sales processes and document customer activities in Salesforce.
  • Ensure sustainable business practices aligned with SSAB’s code of conduct.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and build positive relationships.
  • Refer customer feedback and competitor information to relevant internal teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • University degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical, Civil, or related fields).
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in value creation sales.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and negotiation skills in English. Proficiency in the local language is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation capabilities.
  • Good understanding of business, finance, and strategic thinking.
  • Possession of a valid driving license.
  • Willingness to travel within the country and internationally, particularly to Pakistan, as required.

Work Environment and Travel

This is a full-time role based in Central Saudi Arabia. The position requires regular travel within the designated sales area, which includes Central Saudi Arabia and parts of Pakistan. Candidates must hold a valid driving license and be prepared for necessary domestic and international travel.
