About the Retail Settlement Team Leader Role

Riyad Bank is seeking a Retail Settlement Team Leader to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 4-6 years of relevant experience in banking operations. The role focuses on implementing approved department policies, processes, and procedures, ensuring adherence to SAMA Executions Orders, Instructions, and Inquiries.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement assigned day-to-day operations to ensure compliance with established standards, SAMA Circulars & Regulations, and procedures.
  • Execute orders and instructions, including sending payments, setting up monthly collection garnishments, and handling SAMA letters.
  • Monitor productivity, workload, and capacity utilization across Operations, analyzing performance trends and identifying efficiency improvement opportunities.
  • Prepare management reports, dashboards, and performance scorecards, monitoring operational KPIs, SLAs, and service performance indicators.
  • Support workforce and capacity planning activities through data analysis and ensure accuracy, consistency, and integrity of operational performance data.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve operational effectiveness and support management reviews through reporting and performance analysis.
  • Investigate outstanding reconciliation items and ensure timely resolution of breaks in coordination with relevant departments.
  • Verify the accurate and timely posting of accounting journal entries related to settlement activities.
  • Identify operational risks, implement preventive controls, and ensure timely escalation of critical operational issues.
  • Drive process automation and digital initiatives to improve operational efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround time.
  • Coordinate effectively with Finance, Technology, Risk, Compliance, Branches, and relevant stakeholders.
  • Ensure operational controls comply with internal policies, SAMA regulations, and audit requirements.
  • Contribute to the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices, considering 'best practice', SAMA instructions, business process improvement, cost reduction, and productivity enhancement.
  • Contribute to projects related to SAMA Executions Orders, Instructions, and Inquiries.
  • Comply with all relevant safety, quality, and environmental management policies, procedures, and controls.
  • Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Qualifications and Experience

The minimum qualifications for this role include:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or any related discipline.
  • 4-6 years of relevant experience in Banking Operations.

Technical Knowledge Required

Candidates should possess the following technical knowledge:

  • Knowledge of operations processing and systems in the area of Banking Executive Procedures.
  • Knowledge of SAMA and other applicable rules and regulations.
  • Intermediate level understanding of Riyad Bank main processing systems.
  • Intermediate level of understanding SARIE Payments and other payment products.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and Data Analysis skills.
  • Experience with Operational Dashboards & Performance Reporting.
  • Familiarity with Reconciliation Systems and Oracle GL (preferred).

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The role involves working within a team environment and adhering to established safety, quality, and environmental management policies.
